The Audacity

“When you’re a kid, you color with reckless abandon. You color outside the lines. You color however you feel. Blue elephants, purple trees, red bears, green oceans — it’s all good.

As you get older, though, everyone tells you to stay inside the lines, to color everything just how you see it. You end up painting by numbers — whether you actually paint or whether you write or sing or dance or direct.

I think you should create what you feel. Create outside the lines. I want to watch green oceans and red bears. I’d love to listen to purple trees. And I long to read blue elephants.”

Take Note

“Let’s dance in the perfection of our own immaculate glory.” – Matt Kahn

I am a sultry saxophone performing the song of my soul to those who dare to listen.

I am a passionate tango vibing to energies unborn.

I am a melodious violin expressing courageous love.

I am a bold tune speaking directly to the nucleus of existence.

I am an ocean storm of light eloquently setting the room ablaze.

Fire has never felt so crisp.

Breathing has never felt so alive.

My walk is a strut to the rhythm of my highest note.

My eyes are an open invitation to see life as an abundance of divinity.

My exquisite language inspires alignment to a grander frequency.

My intensity flows freely and cheekily.

My relaxed confidence and authenticity turns heads.

It’s alright to stare.

I’m a jazzy harmony playing with poetry.

With me, elegance is sensual and conversations are juicy.

I am aware that my presence is penetrating.

My symphony is commanding.

And this music only elevates in potency.

Shall you join me in a dance?

Just To Be Close To You

I honor you because you are someone’s prayer, someone’s teacher, and someone’s heart.

I respect you because you are a miracle in human form and divinity clothed in consciousness.

I admire you because you are a story that inspires beauty and a poem that breathes life.

I love you because at the crux of your soul, you are a light that is a sight behold.

How deep, full and vast is your love for yourself?

Human Nature

I once read a story of two men walking in the desert, dehydrated and exhausted. One man asked the other, “Do you believe in God?” His friend pointed to the sunset and replied, “All I know is that man cannot create that.”

The elements of nature are quite impressive. Earth provides an environment for a multitude of beings to experience life. Water showers from a sky that thunders with explosive passion. Fire shares its heat and light by way of a whimsical dance. Air reinvigorates your lungs with an invisible current. Space nudges you to ponder what is real and what is possible.

I bet you could endlessly name examples of natures’ robustness. I wonder if you have that long of a list when it comes to acknowledging your own powerfulness?

Yes, lightning can shock you to your core. But from how I see it, your pulse electrifies a living network of thirty-seven trillion cells in your body with each twinkling of an eye, and you reanimate each time you take a breath.

I am sure of the strength of the mighty oak tree, with its centuries-old tales of determination and survival. I am also under the impression that you have overcome all that has happened to you thus far, and that you should give yourself more credit for the grandness of your victories.

We could spend the whole day talking about all the things we find attractive in the world. How long would it take for us to mention our own beauty?

Yes, a rose will put me in a lovely mood. But one look, one smile from you will do all the same.

I will invite you to listen to the cheerful chirping of the birds on a warm, sunny day. Yet I still adore nothing more than your voice when you articulate your deepest thoughts, and the sound of your sweet laughter when happiness erupts from your belly.

From the spiritual legends of ancient mountains to the calming effect of the gentle ocean waves; from the uninhibited freedom of a meadow filled with wildflowers to the bold colors in the atmosphere; nature is both inspiring and enchanting. I believe that you are as well.

I have an idea: for each way you think nature is magnificent, name a way you are equally spectacular.

And just for the record, nature is merely a subtle reminder of what you’ll find when you look inside yourself.

Just My Imagination

Last night I felt as though a tornado was all around me. Everything felt so chaotic. I wanted to take a jet to a tropical island, leave my phone and wifi behind, and fade into the background. No thoughts. No mind.

The sand between my toes

The sun kissing my skin

The ocean singing in the background

The salt intermingling with the oxygen I deeply inhale

The tropical heat embracing my senses…

That was the scene I was longing for.

But the mystery of stress is to find the eye of the storm, not to physically try to escape it. Plus, aren’t I already an oasis? So instead of packing a travel bag, I closed my eyes and let all thoughts slip away.

Slow breaths

The gentle warmth emitting from my covers

Soothing music playing softly in the background…

All of my uneases melted away as I drifted off to sleep.

This morning I woke up to a restart of new possibilities

Of optimism and hope

Of enthusiasm and determination

It’s okay to sometimes find yourself in a less-than-desirable mood. Things happen. That’s life. But the importance is to accept whatever it is you are feeling and then to leave that feeling behind you. Don’t let a down mood linger into the next moment. Be prepared to welcome an opportunity with vigor and positivity.

Today has every reason to be a wealth of success.

Today has the impetus to roll in miracles right before your eyes.

Today is the day to have a can-do mindset.

After all, everything is just my imagination…

…Until it turns into my reality.

Otherworldly

When was the last time you tried something new? When was the last time you participated in an activity that intrigued your spirit? When was the last time you had a moment of deep pleasure?

As of late, I find myself blossoming on a daily basis. I spend my early mornings and late nights meditating. It is a time for me to contemplate myself and set my intentions.

Yoga is an avenue I use to connect with my body. I love how I feel open and energized with each pose. Improving the quality of my stretch is immensely fulfilling.

Showers are where I experience complete enjoyment. Soft candlelight, intoxicating incense, mellow music, and a personal waterfall is an oasis of pure relaxation.

Painting is a colorful way to unleash my creativity. The scenes that are in my head materialize with each stroke of liquid vibrancy. It has quite a calming effect.

Reading expands my mind. I flood my senses with the words of Osho, Rumi, Shams Tabrizi, Ozen, Hafiz, Ramtha (channeled by JZ Knight), and anyone else whose message is sensational.

I think magic is born when you do things that allow you to step out of time. And, as with me, there may be more than one activity that does this for you. Maybe you have always wanted to take a dance class or experiment in the kitchen. Perhaps you would fancy going for a midday walk to bask in the sunlight and inhale the crisp air. Every day provides a space for you to transform your daily routine. There is a field of possibilities awaiting your arrival.

Have fun with life. Try something new. Be someone new.

Make your moments otherworldly.

I look at you and see god. I look at you and see an entity that is a part of existence to bring forth an ineffable potential. One who is capable of impacting this world by simply diving into your being and rising as your most honest self. It is due time for you to look in the mirror and see radiance, perfection, and love.

Do you know that the entire galaxy is in your palm? That there are energetically a multitude of worlds inside of you? Are you aware that you are the creator of reality? Atoms mimic your mind’s intentions. Imagination fuels realms. You are divine in every sense of the word.

After an experience, you are physiologically not the same person as you were before. You have genetically changed. You have evolved. And as long as you have air purifying your body, you are destined to grow.

So flood your brain with new philosophies. Turn your learnings into experienced truths. Step into the ambitious god that you are. Dare to be a dream.
